The first Missionary Servants of the Poor family to tread Mexican territory was the Salazar family. By their dedication working for the poor and needy, they opened the way for the Missionary Servants of the Poor Sisters in Mexico.
The Sisters founded their house in 2017. Since their arrival they have witnessed great poverty and need. But the greatest poverty they have faced is the people’s need for God and so the Sisters try to be a living Gospel among the poor.
It currently has six Sisters dedicated to preparing people for the sacraments of Confession, First Communion, and Confirmation. They make home visits and help the sick and elderly, taking them Holy Viaticum when necessary.
