On December 23 we held the accustomed lunch for our collaborators in the dining room of our school in Andahuaylillas, Cuzco, Peru.

We like to call them collaborators and not simply employees because they are all part of this great work and it is beautiful to see how many of them feel the same way. They experience through their work that they can truly contribute “a little grain of sand” to help the poor.

At the same time, some of them are very poor, so the help that the Movement gives them is fundamental. This help would not be available to them without the generosity of all the people that make sacrifices, including of necessities, to help us in this beautiful work.

The Priests and Brothers, beginning with our superiors, serve them at table and take charge of all the dishes and cleaning up. It is on occasions like these where we experience and try to imitate the gesture of Jesus at the Last Supper when He served His disciples.

At the end we gave each of them a little Christmas present along with some of our produce.
